Paco Gómez Escribano was born in Madrid in 1966. He has written twelve crime novels whose characters are shaped by their social and urban surroundings. He has received the Ciudad de Santa Cruz, Estandarte, Negra y Mortal and Novelpol prizes. He also writes poetry and literary criticism and teaches courses. His novel Narcopiso is being adapted for film.
