Carvacho Alfaro was born in Quilpué in 1982. He researches marginal Latin American literatures, Chilean poetry and fiction, interculturality and reading promotion. He founded the Network for Literary Studies on Marginality, serves on the editorial committee of LOM Ediciones and teaches at Universidad Academia de Humanismo Cristiano and Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez. He has published poetry, fiction and essays.
